Morson Edge is recruiting a Compliance Investigator to support a leading rotary-wing Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation based at Oxford Airport.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced aviation quality or compliance professional to play a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance within a highly regulated aircraft maintenance environment.Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Production and Safety teams, you’ll investigate compliance-related issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions and help drive continuous improvement across the organisation.

The Role Reporting within the Compliance and Quality function, you will investigate compliance events, maintenance discrepancies and quality concerns to determine root causes and ensure effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented.You will also support regulatory audits, compliance monitoring activities and continuous improvement initiatives while working closely with engineering, production and safety teams to maintain the highest aviation standards.As part of the role, you’ll be required to travel to other UK company sites when necessary to provide compliance support and help ensure consistent standards across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities Compliance Investigations Conduct investigations into compliance events, maintenance discrepancies and safety concernsCarry out MEDA investigations where requiredApply Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques including 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams and Fault Tree AnalysisIdentify Human Factors and Human Performance issuesMonitor trends and identify recurring compliance risksQuality & Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with UK CAA/EASA Part 145, Part CAMO and Part 21G requirementsSupport compliance with MAA MRP145 and Military CAMO regulations where applicableAssist Quality Assurance teams with audits and regulatory inspectionsCoordinate responses to audit findings and non-conformancesMonitor corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)Continuous Improvement Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures and operational processesSupport implementation of risk mitigation strategiesPromote best practice in compliance, safety and human factorsReporting & Stakeholder Management Produce detailed investigation reports and recommendationsPresent findings to senior management where requiredMaintain accurate investigation records and compliance documentationWork collaboratively with engineering, production and safety teams
Essential Skills & Experience Experience conducting compliance investigations within an aviation maintenance or aerospace environmentStrong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologiesThorough understanding of UK CAA/EASA Part 145 regulationsKnowledge of Human Factors and Human Performance principlesExperience analysing maintenance records and technical documentationExperience conducting audits and inspectionsStrong report writing, analytical and presentation skillsExperience using Quality Management Systems (QMS) and compliance monitoring software
Desirable Experience MEDA investigation experienceLean or Six Sigma methodologiesUK CAA/EASA Part CAMO and Part 21G knowledgeMilitary Aviation Authority (MAA) regulationsISO 9001 and AS9100 standardsAviation Safety Management Systems (SMS)Lead Auditor qualificationLean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
