A leading global financial institution is looking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel to join its established derivatives legal team in London.
The role offers varied, high-quality work across multiple asset classes, with a particular focus on credit derivatives, emerging markets, total return swaps (TRS), repacks, significant risk transfers (SRTs) and other complex and bespoke derivatives transactions.
The successful candidate will work closely with the trading business and senior stakeholders, providing commercially focused legal advice across a diverse and sophisticated derivatives portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have 6+ PQE with strong derivatives experience gained at a leading law firm and/or financial institution, and experience across multiple asset classes. Exposure to credit, EM, TRS, repacks and/or SRTs would be particularly desirable. Experience across all products is not necessary, but strong understanding of some is ideal.
