AtSky, we’re building AI that turns live video and sports data intoreal-time insights, personalised experiences and entirely new waysfor fans to engage with sport. We’re looking for a Principal MLEngineer to help lead thatjourney.
Role/Teamoverview :
You’lljoin a team building AI that understands sport, not anotherrecommendation engine. Our work turns live video and sports datainto products and experiences used by millions offans.
Whatyou’lldo:
•Act as the technical authority for a key area of our Sports AIplatform, setting direction and making the big technicalcalls.
•Shape architecture and guide how we build production-ready AIsystems for live video and sports data atscale.
•Lead complex AI work from idea through to production, stayinghands-on when the technical challenge needsit.
•Guide and influence senior engineers and data scientists throughtechnical leadership, mentoring and designreviews.
•Raise engineering standards across quality, reliability,scalability and productionreadiness.
•Build credibility through deep technical expertise rather than linemanagementresponsibility.
Whatyou’llbring:
Essentialcriteria:
•Deep expertise in Computer Vision, Deep Learning and productionmachine learningsystems.
•Experience operating at Lead, Staff or Principal Engineer level,with a track record of technical ownership andinfluence.
•Proven ability to take complex AI systems from concept to scalable,reliable productionservices.
•Strong judgement across model design, system architecture,engineering trade-offs and low-latencyinference.
•A hands-on approach to solving difficult technical problems andunblocking teams when itmatters.
Desirableskills andexperience:
•Experience with sports data, video analytics, real-time insightplatforms or a passion forsport.
