Senior Veterinary Surgeon / Clinical Lead

Location: South Wales

Contract: Permanent

Working pattern: Up to 4 days per week

Hours: 38 hours over 4 days

Salary: Up to £75,000, dependent on experience

The Role:

• Join a well-established, RCVS-accredited small animal hospital
• Play a key role within the clinical team and help shape the future direction of the practice
• Deliver exceptional patient care across a diverse medical and surgical caseload
• Help develop and maintain high clinical standards
• Mentor and support colleagues
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and clinical excellence
• Lead through collaboration while remaining clinically engaged
• Share knowledge and experience with the wider team
• Support high standards of patient and client care
• Protected time provided for leadership and administrative responsibilities
• Leadership responsibilities expected to account for approximately 10% of the working week
• Predominantly clinical role

Caseload:

• Combination of first-opinion practice and hospital-based medicine
• Hospital-based surgery
• Inpatient care
• Emergency and critical care work
• Varied medical and surgical caseload
• Excellent opportunity to develop and pursue individual clinical interests

Working Pattern:

• Up to 4 days per week
• 38 hours across 4 days
• 1 x 9-hour weekend shift every fifth weekend, mainly consulting
• 1 x 12-hour bank holiday shift per year
• Flexible working options considered
