Location: Leatherhead, Surrey
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 (dependent on experience)
£60 per sleep-in
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week
Pro Social Partners are proud to be working in partnership with North Star Children’s Homes to recruit a Registered Manager for their residential children’s home in the Leatherhead area of Surrey.
North Star is a growing residential childcare provider supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and this is a genuine leadership opportunity in an established home with a settled group of children.
The Role
As Registered Manager, You Will
- Hold registration with Ofsted and take overall responsibility for the home’s care, compliance, and quality standards.
- Lead, develop, and supervise the staff team, building a stable and child-centred culture.
- Ensure care planning, risk management, and safeguarding practice meet the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Manage admissions, matching, and transitions so that placements are right for the children.
- Work closely with placing authorities, schools, health partners, and families.
- Drive continuous improvement in preparation for Ofsted inspection.
About You
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (essential).
- Experience of registration, Ofsted inspections, and supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Strong knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted framework.
- A child-centred leadership style with the resilience to manage complexity and risk.
