Overview

In this Bristol-based role, you join a high-performing planning team at a leading firm to advise on town and country planning and environmental matters. You will work on high-profile projects for major clients, shaping planning strategy and handling complex applications, appeals, and infrastructure projects. The position offers exposure to major acquisitions, disposals, and regulatory challenges within a supportive, expert environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, compliant planning solutions and drive the firm’s planning practice forward.

Responsibilities

• Advise on town and country planning and environmental issues
• Assist on major retail projects, mixed-use and office developments
• Support portfolio acquisitions and disposals
• Manage planning applications and appeals
• Address environmental impact and minerals planning
• Contribute to major infrastructure projects
• Handle compulsory purchase, compensation, and judicial review matters

Key requirements

• PQE 4-9 years in planning law
• Experience advising on planning and environmental issues
• Client-facing and able to work in a top-tier firm
