Overview

As a mid- to senior-level Residential Development Solicitor, you will handle development matters for a top-tier law firm in the South East. You will drive complex land development work, from option agreements to plot sales, while overseeing due diligence and acquisitions or disposals. The role spans planning, construction, and development finance, with a strong emphasis on risk management and practical, commercially-focused advice. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and have clear progression toward partnership. Your impact includes structuring high-quality deals and contributing to business development within a supportive, autonomous environment.

Responsibilities

• advise on development matters including option agreements and conditional contracts
• conduct due diligence and lead acquisitions and disposals of development land
• address planning and construction issues and development finance
• coordinate plot sales and manage associated risk
• deliver commercially focused advice
• drive business development and build client relationships
• contribute to strategic growth and partnership prospects
