Civils Supervisor – Water

Overview

As Site Supervisor you oversee daily site operations across infrastructure projects, delivering work safely, on time, and to specification. You’ll coordinate operatives and subcontractors, maintain clear site communications, and drive quality and safety across mobilisation to completion. This is a hands-on role in a growing engineering environment, focusing on delivering essential water and utility infrastructure with strong leadership and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations ensuring safety, efficiency and alignment with project requirements
• Coordinate site operatives, subcontractors, plant and materials
• Ensure work adheres to programme, specifications and quality standards
• Conduct site inspections and enforce health and safety procedures
• Lead toolbox talks, briefings and inductions as needed
• Monitor progress, flag delays or risks to the project team
• Maintain accurate site records and reports
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, engineers, subcontractors and site teams
• Support project delivery from mobilisation to completion

Key requirements

• Supervising construction, utilities, civil engineering, or infrastructure works experience
• Experience in water or wastewater sector advantageous
• Strong organisational skills for multiple site activities
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Proactive problem-solving mindset
• Site qualifications: SSSTS or SMSTS, CSCS card, relevant health and safety training
