Procurement Programme Manager

Overview

Based at a manufacturing hub, you will lead and develop a team of procurement professionals responsible for transfers, projects and new product introduction at the Cowes site. You will ensure on-time delivery, cost, and quality in line with the approved transfer of work process. The role requires hands-on involvement across sites and supplier locations, and occasional travel. You will drive cross-functional collaboration and contribute to site cost reduction and supplier development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Procurement team (PMs, Buyers, Senior Buyers)
• Accountable for all procurement transfer of work projects (minor & major)
• Interface procurement with Site Programmes and Business Lines
• Manage internal/external customer relationships
• Lead supplier selection RFQ processes using e-sourcing tools
• Monitor transfer project performance and BR4 progress
• Oversee Change Control for programmes/projects
• Execute Risk, Issue and Opportunity Management across projects
• Maintain Project Register in conjunction with SAVE
• Adhere to Procurement standards and policies (BMS)
• Oversee ToW Gate 0, 1 & 2 approvals
• Identify and investigate procurement cost reduction opportunities
• Develop procurement sourcing and development strategy aligned with group commodity strategy

Key requirements

• Degree level education (or equivalent) in Business Administration or relevant discipline, or significant procurement/supply chain experience
• MCIPS (gained or working towards)
• Project Management Qualification (APM, PMI, MBA, etc.) or working towards
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing project management
• Proven leadership and mentoring of high-performing teams
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Relationship management with customers and suppliers
• Change and risk management capability
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel internationally as required
• Understanding of Supply Chain/Procurement processes (advantageous)
