Sales Engineer – Public Sector

Overview

As a Sales Engineer at Rubrik, you will guide regional sales with technical direction and business insight. You’ll evangelize Rubrik’s Data Resilience, Observability, and Remediation tools to UK Public Sector customers, shaping integrated solutions and driving pipeline with AEs. You’ll lead demonstrations, POCs, and discovery sessions, translating complex tech into business value. This role sits at the intersection of technology and sales, helping customers protect data at scale while advancing Rubrik’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and direction to customers and internal teams for pre-sales solutions
• Analyze, design, and contribute to fully integrated technology solutions
• Present Rubrik products and architectures to technical staff and executives
• Act as a trusted advisor on technical issues and business applications within an assigned market
• Build relationships with account teams, partners, and customers to support sales objectives
• Lead technical sales calls and discovery sessions
• Qualify opportunities based on requirements, competition, decision processes, and funding
• Collaborate with Account Executives on pipeline generation from existing and new accounts

Key requirements

• 5+ years of sales engineering experience in cloud infrastructure, SaaS security, or data center
• Strong expertise in Azure and/or AWS; familiarity with cloud data management; experience with backup, DR, and cyber resiliency
• Self-starter, energetic, and hands-on with a can-do attitude
• Entrepreneurial mindset, strong work ethic, resourceful, and results-driven
• Ability to handle multiple calls/demos with prompt follow-up in a fast-paced environment
• Business acumen and experience interacting with CxO-level personnel
• Personable and confident communicator capable of engaging technical staff and senior executives
• Ideally a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Public Sector background is a plus but not required
