Project Development Manager

• Lead development and mobilisation of innovation projects addressing strategic business and whole energy system challenges
• Lead a team coordinating project plans, procurement events, RFPs and funding submissions
• Coordinate stakeholders to define project scope, benefits, risks, finances, dependencies, requirements and success measures
• Ensure completion of legal, procurement, security and data process documentation
• Manage the innovation pipeline and support strategic prioritisation
• Transition approved projects into delivery and successful business implementation
• Prepare governance papers, presentations and recommendations for senior leadership, funding bodies and investment boards
• Incorporate lessons learned, industry insights and new technologies into project development and platform development
• Oversee SIF project applications and setup following successful awards
• Own the project development pipeline from proposal selection through project kick-off and handover to the delivery team

Requirements

• Experience leading a team in innovation, research, digitalisation, transformation or technology development areas
• Experience developing projects or funding applications within the GB energy sector, ideally SIF or NIA, or another regulated industry
• Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills across multiple organisations and disciplines
• Strong communication and excellent writing skills
• Educated to degree level in a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK by the start of employment
• Project Management qualification (APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent) desirable
