Data Business Analyst

Overview

As a Data Business Analyst at NTT DATA, you will translate business needs into data-driven insights and products within the Data & AI practice. You’ll collaborate with data professionals, engineers and business stakeholders to scope, plan and deliver client-centric data solutions. You’ll manage large data sets, ensure data integrity and communicate outcomes to leadership. This role supports multiple sectors, driving data-enabled business decisions and informing product roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Engage with client stakeholders to clarify goals and ensure alignment
• Collate detailed requirements to feed into data products and solutions
• Conduct detailed data analysis including data content, lineage and governance
• Tell data-driven stories to communicate insights
• Acquire data from primary or secondary sources
• Interpret data and create visualisations to answer business questions
• Deliver takeaways and actionable recommendations from data
• Produce reports and documentation demonstrating value of work
• Deliver data projects for clients
• Stay updated on data analytics applications and data product offerings

Key requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data, consulting, analytics or related function
• Experience in delivering data projects across Data Product Ownership, Data Analysis and consulting engagements
• Technical expertise in data models, database design, data mining and segmentation
• Proficiency in SQL, Hive, Pig, Python and R
• Expertise with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau)
• Strong project management and ability to simplify complex ideas
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across senior levels
• Experience in Telco-Media, Insurance or Public Sector is required/advantageous
• BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics is a plus
