Senior Quantiy Surveyor

Overview

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead commercial management for projects within a Tier 1 design-and-build contractor’s team in East Manchester, reporting to the Commercial Manager. You will ensure cost control and contractual compliance across project stages, coordinating with design, construction and supply chain teams and managing main contracts and subcontractor performance. You will prepare and agree payment applications, cost/value reports, budgets and forecasts, shaping delivery on utilities/MEICA projects.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with design, construction and supply chain teams to capture, analyse and control costs
• Collaborate with clients to meet business requirements and manage main contracts
• Issue subcontract documentation and oversee subcontractor performance
• Prepare and agree payment applications, project cost/value reports, budgets and forecasts

Key requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification
• Experience in utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA sectors
• NEC3/NEC4 contract experience
• Quantity surveying and commercial management of projects and work packages
