Planning Lawyer – Southampton (Hybrid Working)

Overview

In this role, you will advise public and private sector clients on planning law, handling applications, appeals, and inquiries. You’ll work with Partners and Senior Associates on high-value projects across the region, while independently managing your caseload. Responsibilities

• Advise on planning applications, appeals, and inquiries
• Handle Section 106 agreements and infrastructure planning
• Assist with compulsory purchase and judicial review matters
• Address environmental and highways issues within planning context
• Collaborate with Partners and Senior Associates on complex projects while managing your own caseload
• Support cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor (NQ–10 PQE) with planning law experience
• Excellent technical and drafting skills
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to build lasting client relationships
