Gas Engineering Supervisor

Overview

In this role you lead a team of gas engineers across premium London sites, shaping gas engineering delivery and standards. You influence safety, technical quality, and stakeholder satisfaction while progressing your leadership career within JLL’s engineering community. You’ll manage complex plant rooms and BMS-enabled systems, solving challenging diagnostics and improving building performance. This is a leadership role with real authority to drive outcomes in a global, stable organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of gas engineers across multiple London sites
• Provide technical mentorship, safety briefings, and hands-on diagnostics and repairs
• Ensure 100% compliance with Gas Safety Regulations and manage certification and audits
• Coordinate maintenance with clients and managers, minimizing disruption
• Lead rapid response during emergencies and make critical decisions
• Conduct technical audits, investigate incidents, and implement lessons learned
• Operate with frontline leadership to shape standards and performance across the portfolio
• Oversee compliance tracking via SharePoint systems

Key requirements

• Gas Safe registered with full commercial and domestic tickets (CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, COCN1, CODNCO1, ICPN1, CORT1, CDGA1, CIGA1, TPCP1A)
• Minimum 5 years’ commercial gas engineering experience
• Proven track record leading or mentoring engineers
• Full UK driving licence
• Deep knowledge of commercial plant rooms, boilers, and heating systems
• Confident with compliance requirements, audits, and technical documentation
• Experience with complex diagnostics and problem-solving
• Understanding of modern BMS and control systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to motivate teams and develop talent
