Overview

As a Senior Revenues Officer, you will act as a technical expert in Council Tax, Business Rates and BID Levy matters to ensure accurate billing, recovery and enforcement. You will support service improvements, handle complaints and inquiries, and contribute to performance monitoring. Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on Council Tax, Business Rates and BID Levy matters
• Support service improvements and performance monitoring/reporting
• Handle complaints and member inquiries with accurate, timely responses
• Ensure accurate billing, recovery and enforcement activities
• Maintain compliance with relevant legislation and best practices
• Collaborate with internal services and external partners to deliver efficient service

Key requirements

• Knowledge of local government revenues, especially Council Tax and Business Rates
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation and ability to interpret complex regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organised, customer-focused and analytical with experience handling confidential information
• Ability to work independently, solve problems and deliver accurate results in a high-volume, pressurised environment
