Overview

In this role you will lead and embed complex transformation projects across the council, accelerating delivery and improving resident outcomes. You will work closely with programme managers, service leads and stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality delivery within budget. You help drive sustainable change and new ways of working across the organisation. Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of complex transformation projects within timescales, quality standards and budget
  • Develop and manage project delivery plans, governance, risks, issues, resources, benefits and stakeholder engagement
  • Ensure initiatives progress through delivery stages and governance processes
  • Collaborate with Programme Managers, Senior Responsible Officers, service leads and stakeholders to achieve measurable outcomes
  • Provide direction, coaching and matrix management to project teams, enabling adoption of change and continuous improvement
  • Embed sustainable change and improved ways of working across the organisation
  • Navigate complex environments to maintain momentum and delivery focus

Key requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in project delivery, change management, stakeholder engagement, governance, benefits realisation and risk management
  • Ability to lead teams and navigate complex organisational environments
  • Experience in managing delivery within time, quality and budget parameters
  • Strong ability to align projects with organisational priorities and governance processes
  • Proven coaching and leadership within matrix management arrangements
