Overview

In this role you will provide high-quality, patient-centred primary medical services as part of a multidisciplinary team in Lakeside Medical Practice. You will handle varied consultations and participate in a total triage system to direct patients to the right clinician or service. Responsibilities

• undertake face-to-face, telephone and online consultations
• participate in the total triage system and review patient requests
• assess, diagnose and manage acute and long-term conditions
• prescribe safely and appropriately
• develop and manage treatment plans
• refer patients to secondary care or community services when required
• undertake home visits when clinically appropriate
• maintain accurate clinical records (EMIS Web)
• work with multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective care
• participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and audit activities
• attend practice meetings, training, appraisal and revalidation
• support safeguarding for children and vulnerable adults
• comply with information governance, confidentiality, equality, diversity and health & safety requirements

Key requirements

• Full GMC registration with licence to practise
• Inclusion on NHS England Performers List
• MRCGP or equivalent qualification
• eligible to work in the United Kingdom
• experience of working in UK General Practice
• experience managing acute and chronic conditions
• experience conducting face-to-face, telephone and online consultations
• experience working in a multidisciplinary team
