Duel Fuel Smart Meter Engineer

Overview

In this role you install, maintain and investigate SMETS2 smart meters at domestic properties, contributing to a growing energy services business. You’ll work field-based with a focus on safety, accuracy and customer service, while leveraging ongoing training opportunities. The position offers strong earning potential and the chance to develop expertise in smart metering. You will collaborate with a supportive team and benefit from dedicated in-house training and progression options.

Responsibilities

• Install single-phase and three-phase SMETS2 meters in homes
• Perform warrants and in-day emergency work
• Maintenance, investigations and fault finding on meters
• Ensure all work meets industry standards and safety requirements
• Provide excellent customer service at each visit
• Complete job records using handheld IT devices
• Adhere to company health & safety procedures

• No weekend work or on-call requirement

Key requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ Dual Fuel Smart Metering experience
• CCN1/CMA1 and MET1 or equivalent
• MOCOPA or recognised Smart Metering qualification
• EUSR registration with three-phase experience
• Full UK driving licence with <=6 penalty points
• Comfort with handheld IT devices
• Ability to pass DBS check
• Professional approach to customer service, health & safety and quality
