Banking & Finance Solicitor / Senior Solicitor – Reading (Hybrid Working Available)

Overview

In this role you will support a growing Banking & Finance team in Reading, focusing on a broad range of financing matters for lenders and corporate borrowers. You will work within a collaborative, commercially minded firm and contribute to cross-border advisory work. The position offers hybrid working to balance office and home time and exposure to diverse financing transactions. You will help clients navigate complex facility agreements and related documentation, contributing to the practice’s growth and reputation.

Responsibilities

• Handle a range of banking and finance matters including corporate, acquisition, leveraged, real estate, project finance and asset-based lending
• Draft and negotiate facility agreements, LMA documentation and related finance documents
• Provide commercial judgment and negotiate terms with clients and colleagues
• Support lender-side and borrower-side advisory work, including cross-border matters across Europe and the US
• Contribute to development of the practice and maintain strong client relationships

Key requirements

• 3–8 years’ post-qualification experience in banking and finance
• Qualified to practise in England & Wales (or equivalent)
• Strong technical knowledge of banking and finance law
• Experience drafting and negotiating facility agreements and LMA documentation
• Sound commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Confidence when dealing with clients and colleagues at all levels
