Antitrust & International Competition Lawyer

Overview

In this London-based role, you advise on complex competition and antitrust matters within cross-border M&A and restructurings. You will collaborate with Corporate Partners to manage merger control filings and national security issues, supporting multi-jurisdictional processes for financial institutions, private equity and multinationals. The position offers early client exposure, significant responsibility, and a high-performance team environment. You will shape transactions with a practical, commercial mindset and contribute to the firm’s cross-border competition practice.

Responsibilities

• Advise on transactional antitrust aspects of M&A and restructurings
• Manage UK and EU merger control filings
• Address foreign investment and national security matters
• Coordinate multi-jurisdictional merger control processes
• Support cross-border transactions for financial institutions, private equity and multinational clients

Key requirements

• 2-4 years’ PQE in competition/antitrust law
• Experience from a leading firm
• Strong transactional antitrust and merger control experience
• Commercial awareness and confidence working directly with Corporate Partners
• Excellent academics, communication skills and proactive approach
• Foreign language skills and EU FSR experience advantageous but not essential
