Revenues Officer

Overview

In this role you support the Revenues Service to deliver accurate Council Tax, Business Rates and BID Levy administration. You will engage with residents, businesses and partners to advise, interpret legislation, and steer accounts from billing through recovery. The role emphasizes compliance, data confidentiality and high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will contribute to strong collection performance while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. Responsibilities

• Deliver efficient handling of Council Tax, Business Rates and BID Levy processes from billing to recovery
• Provide guidance to residents, businesses and partners and make informed account decisions
• Process discounts and exemptions and ensure compliance with legislation and procedures
• Support achievement of high collection rates while maintaining accuracy and integrity
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to apply legislation fairly
