Ontario Land Surveyor, Project Manager

Overview

In this role, you lead a team of survey professionals in Stantec’s Geomatics unit, supporting Waterloo or London offices. You will supervise field and office staff, liaise with clients, and ensure timely project delivery. You contribute to multi-disciplinary projects by applying your surveying expertise and regulatory knowledge. This is a hands-on leadership position at the intersection of fieldwork, computation, and planning, with opportunities to shape project outcomes. You will work within a collaborative, safety-conscious culture that values professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Preparing proposals
• Project research
• Project computations
• Field and office staff supervision
• Plan review and signing plans
• Reporting and timely delivery on final returns

Key requirements

• Licensed Ontario Land Surveyor in good standing with the AOLS
• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience with GPS and total station survey equipment
• Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication
• Solid understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements
• Eager to learn and develop professionally
• Self-motivated
• Experience with survey computational and least squares adjustment software (Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD) an asset
