Site Supervisor

Overview

As Site Supervisor for Galliford Try – Digital Infrastructure, you oversee safe, compliant site delivery on security-focused projects worth 1m–8m. You’ll collaborate with regional teams, supporting the Project Manager and Site Manager to protect quality and profitability. The role sits at the heart of projects in wireless networks, private 5G, defence, and renewables, shaping safe, innovative solutions for a sustainable future. You’ll drive safety, coordination, and on-time delivery in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities and ensure safety, timeliness, and adherence to specs
• Maintain site records (diaries, permits, quality checks)
• Support planning and programming with project teams
• Coordinate subcontractors and supply chain to hit programme and budget targets
• Lead site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
• Ensure RAMS, COSHH, and permits are prepared and followed
• Attend site meetings to support communication and delivery
• Assist with site setup and pre-construction activities

Key requirements

• Experience leading or supporting teams in construction
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and deliver work to quality standards
• Good organisational and IT skills (Microsoft 365 or similar)
• Knowledge of site documentation and business management systems
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing on site
• Confidence communicating with colleagues, subcontractors, and client reps
