In this hands-on role, you own engineering issues from identification to closure, solving problems on the shop floor and in the field. You collaborate with Operations, Quality and Supply Chain to implement practical improvements that deliver measurable impact. You’ll design for manufacturability and reliability while maintaining clear documentation. Responsibilities

• Take ownership of engineering issues from identification through resolution
• Investigate problems on shop floor and field using structured approaches (RCA, 5Wys)
• Develop practical solutions and actionable work plans and deliver them
• Support production by resolving mechanical and electro-mechanical issues quickly
• Produce and improve designs for manufacturability, reliability, and cost
• Maintain engineering documentation (BoM, drawings, change records)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality and Supply Chain

Key requirements

• Ownership mindset and accountability for problems
• Proactive approach to investigation and solution proposal
• Structured thinking to break down complex problems
• Delivery focus with meeting deadlines and HoE commitments
• Resilience in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent); chartership is a plus
• Experience in manufacturing/production/operations
• Strong problem-solving with practical application
• CAD experience (Solid Works or similar)
• Understanding of BoMs, engineering drawings gates system, and change control
• Familiarity with DfMA principles
• End-to-end improvement experience (advantage)
• Exposure to electro-mechanical/electronic products (advantage)
