Compliance Officer

Overview

In this role you will support Business Acceptance tasks with a focus on conflicts searches and new matter openings. You’ll work alongside a senior compliance officer to analyse findings and present them to Partners and senior stakeholders. You’ll contribute to risk management through AML and sanctions screening, information barriers, and CDD activities. The role offers exposure to cross-border compliance matters within an international law firm and involves collaboration on risk projects and software testing. This is a hybrid position based in London, offering opportunities to shape client onboarding processes.

• salary 50,000 – 65,000 GBP

Responsibilities

• Analyse conflict search results to identify regulatory and commercial conflicts and coordinate resolution using Intapp
• Manage requests for new client and new matter openings
• Research new clients for CDD and gather required information/documentation
• Implement and maintain information barriers
• Conduct sanctions screening
• Participate in risk/compliance projects, including software upgrade testing

Key requirements

• Strong AML legislation and conflicts rules knowledge across international jurisdictions
• Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders
• Strong research skills and familiarity with data providers
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience using Intapp, onnitrack or FirstAML
• Proven compliance experience in a law or professional services firm
