Overview

As Senior Change Management Engineer, you will lead and coordinate engineering change activity to deliver safe, compliant platform capability within naval programmes. You will influence design, configuration and acceptance outcomes across a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring governance, risk management and timely delivery. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to enable informed decisions and continuous improvement. This role offers a chance to shape engineering change practices within Warship Support and make an impact on complex maritime projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering change activities with governance and risk oversight
• Maintain accurate plans and tracking tools to provide visibility of progress and decisions
• Contribute to design change through governance, configuration control and acceptance activities
• Act as a central coordination point across stakeholders to facilitate decisions
• Plan and execute design change initiatives with readiness assessments and progress monitoring
• Support team delivery by identifying process improvements and contributing to risk management
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering change practices
• Ensure changes align with safety and operational requirements

Key requirements

• Sound understanding of engineering change, configuration management and systems engineering
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with ability to present to varied audiences
• Experience using planning, reporting and engineering tools to manage delivery and governance
• Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) or equivalent, with interest in professional registration
• Ability to balance technical, operational and programme priorities
