Professional Support Lawyer – Private Wealth

Overview

As a Professional Support Lawyer in the Private Wealth team, you will safeguard technical excellence and support knowledge management. You’ll draft and maintain precedents, templates and guidance, and provide expert input on complex private client matters. You’ll monitor regulatory developments, deliver training, and contribute to thought leadership, seminars and business development, helping the firm scale its private client capability. This is a technically focused, non-fee-earning role with strong collaboration and career development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Draft and maintain precedents, templates and guidance notes
• Provide technical support on complex private client matters
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments
• Deliver training programmes for colleagues across the team
• Contribute to thought leadership, client seminars and business development
• Support innovation and knowledge-sharing strategies
• Promote consistency across the team’s legal work
• Engage with cross-functional lawyers to support development of others

Key requirements

• Qualified solicitor with ~6+ years PQE in Private Client
• Strong technical expertise across wills, trusts, estate administration and inheritance planning
• Excellent drafting, research and communication skills
• Experience of contentious probate, trust administration or Court of Protection advantageous but not essential
• Highly organized, commercially aware and collaborative in approach
• Willingness to transition to or leverage a knowledge-focused PSL role
