Overview

As Senior Manager in EY’s ITTS team, you will lead international tax advisory and cross-border M&A work for energy sector clients, partnering with top Partners and a high-performance team. You’ll shape international tax strategy, navigate BEPS and global tax changes, and manage complex projects from deal execution to post-transaction integration. The role offers exposure to UK and overseas MNCs, lawyers and banks, with a focus on growth and career development in a dynamic energy market. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain client relationships and contribute to new business wins
  • Deliver technically complex projects with a practical business focus and high-quality outputs
  • Ensure overall client service quality and manage potential leads across the practice
  • Develop internal networks and leverage opportunities for the team
  • Guide and mentor junior staff, contributing to their development
  • Participate in team strategy and operations and manage staff assignments
  • Oversee delivery quality and day-to-day project execution

Key requirements

  • ACA/CA/ACCA/CTA; or Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training Course; or Law qualification
  • Degree qualified
  • Experienced corporate tax practitioner
  • Experience in UK tax or similar jurisdiction in a client-facing role
  • Experience in the Energy sector
  • Ability to read and interpret existing and new tax statutes
  • Client focus and commercial awareness
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Negotiation skills and ability to handle challenges
  • Strong international and UK tax technical skills
  • Experience with cross-border M&A (DD and structuring)
  • Knowledge of BEPS and global tax developments
