Property Litigation Senior Associate | 7+ PQE | Leading National Firm | Birmingham | Hybrid Working
The Role
A leading national law firm is looking to appoint a Property Litigation Senior Associate to join its growing and highly regarded Property Litigation team in Birmingham.
The team acts for a diverse range of public and private sector clients, including central government bodies, registered providers, local authorities, secured lenders, NHS bodies, higher education institutions, property developers and management companies.
You will handle a broad range of contentious property matters, managing your own caseload and working on complex litigation before the First-tier and Upper Tribunals and the courts, including matters reaching Court of Appeal level.
Alongside litigation, the role will involve providing wider contentious property advice and working collaboratively with lawyers across the firm on multidisciplinary client matters.
Building Safety Act work and residential leasehold management are particular growth areas, including residential forfeiture, service charges and Section 20 consultation. Experience in these areas would be advantageous but is not essential.
As a senior member of the team, you will also have the opportunity to play an active role in business development and support the Partners with the continued growth of the practice.
About You
- 7+ years’ PQE with strong property litigation experience
- Experience handling property disputes through the courts and tribunals
- Excellent drafting, legal analysis and technical skills
- Commercial and pragmatic approach to client advice
- Confident managing your own caseload and working directly with clients
- Experience or an interest in supervising and delegating to junior colleagues
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Collaborative approach and ability to build strong client and intermediary relationships
- Genuine interest in business development and growing a practice
