Care Assistant

Daily Tasks

• helping with washing and dressing
• Assisting with feeding and mealtimes
• finding out and knowing residents interests and needs.
• general housekeeping such as tidying residents’ private bedrooms and communal areas
• supporting each resident’s physical and mental wellbeing through activities.

Shift Patterns

• Day Shift Contracts:
  • 8am until 8pm
  • 8am until 2pm
  • 2pm until 8pm
• Night Shift Contracts:
  • 8pm until 8am

Our care team provide 24-hour care, where day care shifts are worked from 8am until 8pm, and night-time shifts are from 8pm until 8am.

Qualities

• compassion, sensitivity and understanding
• a desire to help people
• people skills and excellent communication skills
• patience and the ability to keep calm and work well under pressure
• to be thorough and pay attention to detail
• to be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device

Requirements

Successful applicants would require two written references, a standard/enhanced DBS (depending on role) and evidence of a right to work in the UK check.
