Anatomical Pathology Technician Job Description

• Speciality -Mortuary Technician
• Location -Leicester
• Start date -beginning of October
• Contract Length -4 months/to the end of Jan 2027 initially (possibility of extension)
• Pay Rate -£17.39 or £22.61 PAYE rate via direct engagement
• Band 5 or 6
• May be required to work at other hospital sites
• Mon-Fri, 7.5hrs between 7.30am-5pm (dependent on clinical and service requirements)
• Minimum of APT Certification with RSPH, higher Diploma qualification desirable
• at least 12 months in NHS mortuary and minimum of 3 months post certification
• Coronial, forensic including paediatric post mortem experience. Busy mortuary environment. Ability to be flexible. Good physical health / no known MSK issues

Requirements

• 1 year(s) post graduate experience
• Valid Passport/Visa
• Fully compliant and cleared to work
• DBS or Police Check
• HCPC Registered
