Furnaceman / Furnace Operator
Location: Brownhills
Job Type: Full-Time – Temp to Perm
Pay Rate: £14.99 per hour to £17.50 per/hour plus bonus
Working Hours whilst on the agency: Monday to Thursday: 10.15 am – 16.00 pm 08.30 am – 17.00 pm Friday
Once trained you will go onto continental shifts 4 on 4 off – 6.00 am – 18.00 pm
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Furnaceman / Furnace Operator to join a reputable and growing manufacturer based in Brownhills. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundry experience who is looking for stable hours and the chance to secure a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate induction furnaces
- Safely load and unload materials
- Monitor temperatures, timings, and treatment processes to ensure quality standards are met
- Carry out basic equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance issues
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Furnaceman or within a foundry environment
- Strong awareness of workplace health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a teamReliable with good timekeeping
- Strong attention to detail
