We are currently seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming school in the Rotherham area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys supporting children and young people to reach their full potential.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teachers with the delivery of engaging classroom activities.
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students where required.
  • Help pupils develop their academic, social and emotional skills.
  • Support students with additional learning needs.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and maintain a safe learning environment.
  • Monitor and provide feedback on students’ progress.
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff and parents/carers.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working with children or young people.
  • Is passionate about supporting students’ learning and development.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is patient, caring and approachable.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team.
  • Is proactive and able to use their initiative.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
  • Has a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Relevant qualifications or experience in education, childcare or supporting pupils with additional needs would be advantageous, but full training and support may be available depending on the role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
