Duties of the Bodyshop Technician:
- Undertake replacement and repair of damaged bodywork panels
- Complete chassis and framework repairs to manufacturer standards
- Welding and panel bonding as required
- Bumper and door repairs
- Mechanical and electrical repair work to high standards
- Proven experience in replacing mechanical parts
- Confidently strip and refit vehicle components
- Assist with repairs involving electric vehicles (EV) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
- Work efficiently under pressure, adhering to strict deadlines
- Follow work instructions detailed on job cards, ensuring high-quality standards
- Support team members and multi-task during busy periods
Requirements of the Bodyshop Technician:
- Recognised qualification in automotive Panel Beating or Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim (MET) discipline preferred
- Working towards an IMI qualification is desirable
- individuals with extensive experience and no formal qualifications will also be considered
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise workload
- Valid UK driving licence with minimal points essential
- Experience with EV and ADAS repair methods is advantageous
