About your next employer This organisation is a well-established leader within the transport sector, managing a sizable fleet of around 80 vehicles, including specialised Tanker, Jetting, and Vacuum trucks. Operating within a robust industrial environment, they are committed to safety, innovation, and operational excellence. The company boasts a collaborative team structure with a clear reporting line to senior management, and holds a respected reputation both nationally and locally.
About you
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fleet or transport management
- Strong understanding of compliance including DVA and HGV O-License regulations
- Full UK driving licence, ideally Class 2 HGV
- Commercially driven with a proactive approach towards cost and compliance improvements
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage relationships with suppliers and internal teams
What you’ll do
- Manage statutory compliance for all fleet and plant assets, ensuring adherence to regulations and company policies
- Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, working closely with in-house garages and external suppliers
- Coordinate breakdown responses to minimise downtime and operational disruption
- Lead driver performance monitoring, ensuring CPC and driving licence compliance
- Develop and implement fleet strategies, including technology upgrades and purchase decisions
- Drive a health and safety culture across all operational activities
- Report regularly to senior management on fleet performance and improvement initiatives
