About you
- Strong people management and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience supervising teams within catering or hospitality
- Excellent customer service and organisation skills
- Practical cooking skills to support high standards in school meals
- Knowledge of health and safety and food safety regulations
- Ability to handle multiple sites and priorities effectively
What you’ll do
- Support the Regional Operations Manager in managing multiple school catering sites, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Lead, motivate, and develop dispersed catering teams across various locations
- Oversee stock ordering, financial reporting, and banking procedures
- Deliver training to kitchen staff on food safety, health and safety, and service standards
- Assist with recruitment, inductions, and staff development initiatives
- Implement and monitor service improvements and innovation within the school meals sector
- Manage stakeholder relationships including liaising with school staff, suppliers, and environmental health officers
