Quantity Surveyor (Main Contractor) | Permanent | St Albans, Hertfordshire

Overview

In this role you will support a growing construction contractors commercial team from St Albans, focusing on new build steel-framed industrial/warehouse projects. You’ll manage commercial aspects across projects with values from 2m to 10m and be prepared to travel to sites across London and the Home Counties. The position offers a permanent role within a dynamic, expanding contractor and enables you to contribute to cost control and project delivery. This opportunity suits experienced QS professionals looking to work on multi-site industrial schemes and grow with the company.

Pay / Benefits

• salary: 50,000 – 55,000 + package

Responsibilities

• Manage QS duties on new build industrial/warehouse projects
• Prepare cost plans, valuations and variations for projects (2m–10m)
• Monitor cost control and financial reporting for projects
• Coordinate with site teams and stakeholders during site visits
• Support travel to sites across London and Home Counties as required
• Contribute to commercial risk management and procurement activities

Key requirements

• Experience with reputable Main Contractor
• Track record on new build industrial/warehouse projects
• Steel frame experience
• Able to commute to St Albans and travel to sites as required
• Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications (ideally)
