Overview

In this role you will design, implement and maintain secure, resilient network environments with a focus on Fortinet technologies. You will work within the network infrastructure team to configure FortiGate firewalls, manage security rules, VPNs and routing, and ensure standards are met. The position offers practical involvement in design, upgrades and incident resolution in a hybrid London setting, contributing to reliable global connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls and Fortinet security solutions
• Manage firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, routing and security rules
• Support LAN/WAN, switching, routing and network security infrastructure
• Monitor network performance, availability and security
• Investigate and resolve complex network incidents and outages
• Perform network changes, upgrades and security improvements
• Assist with network design, documentation and infrastructure projects
• Ensure network environments meet security and operational standards

Key requirements

• Strong commercial experience as a Network Engineer
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet / FortiGate environments
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing and switching
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, NAT and network security
• Experience troubleshooting complex network issues
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
