In this National Security Management Consulting Manager role, you will lead transformation initiatives for national security clients, guiding engagements from strategy to delivery. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to unlock measurable outcomes, leveraging data-driven insights and user-centred solutions. The position sits within Accenture’s Public Sector Strategy & Consulting practice, offering exposure to cutting-edge technology and a broad ecosystem of partners. You’ll help grow the practice while mentoring teams and shaping outcomes for citizens.

Responsibilities

• Lead transformation programs across National Security clients
• Drive growth of consulting capabilities within the National Security practice
• Act as principal client representative, advising and coaching senior stakeholders
• Deeply understand client business challenges and frame issue-based discussions
• Build trust-based client relationships and apply pragmatic problem-solving
• Apply human-centred design to frame opportunities and drive innovation
• Lead and manage teams, setting a positive work environment
• Support business development, scoping opportunities and drafting compelling proposals
• Coach and develop team members’ careers
• Collaborate with client leads and teams to deliver project outcomes
• Provide specialist advice across engagements
• Contribute to broader value and impact through cross-team collaboration

Key requirements

• 5–10 years of consulting experience in a National Security environment
• Analytical problem-solving and continuous improvement skills
• Strategic thinking and ability to bring insight to complex problems
• Experience designing or implementing operating models or organisation design
• Change management experience
• Business analysis
• Project management; portfolio, programme, and delivery management experience
• Experience driving new business through strategy and relationships
• Lifecycle experience from proposal to full delivery; risk management with senior partners
• Data usage in design/delivery of consulting services in National Security
• Working with technology to deliver transformation in National Security
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders
• In-depth understanding of National Security landscapes (preferred)
• Experience managing leadership relationships (clients or internal)
• Change Management or Agile training and/or Design Thinking exposure
• Experience using data visualisation tools (Power BI, Qlik)
• Exposure to cloud, CRM platforms, or equivalent technology
• PowerPoint and Excel proficiency
