Civil Engineer (all levels)

Overview

In this role you will contribute to fast-paced highways projects within a growing civil engineering and transport planning consultancy. You will design drainage, highway layouts and S278/S38 schemes, while ensuring quality drawings and effective client interactions. You’ll support senior colleagues, mentor juniors and collaborate with authorities, developers and architects. Responsibilities

• Design drainage systems, highway layouts, and S278/S38 schemes
• Apply Sewers for Adoption, building regulations, and the SuDS Manual in design work
• Produce high-quality drawing packages
• Manage client interactions for designated project aspects
• Support senior team members with project completion
• Mentor and train junior staff
• Collaborate with local authorities, developers, and architects
• Attend client meetings and conduct site visits

Key requirements

• AutoCAD and Site 3D (or equivalent) proficiency
• Experience in drainage design and SuDS
• Strong understanding of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Manual for Streets
• HND, BEng, MEng, or MSc in Civil Engineering
• Working towards or holding ICE accreditation
• Experience in a civil engineering consultancy with stakeholder engagement
• Willingness to learn various engineering software
• Proficiency in preparing/reviewing technical reports (e.g., Flood Risk Assessments)
