VP-Strategy & Business Management

Overview

In this role you contribute to Moody’s Ratings growth in the Middle East, shaping how AI-enabled insights translate into strategic actions for regional markets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to advance capital market development and governance. You’ll balance rigorous analysis with practical, scalable solutions, driving transformation while upholding responsible AI use. This is an opportunity to impact how financial markets evolve in a high-trust, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic growth and stakeholder engagement across the Middle East region
• Evaluate and oversee regional growth initiatives, partnerships, and investments
• Facilitate cross-functional alignment on governance, operations, analytics, and strategy
• Build and maintain relationships with regulators, banks, asset managers, issuers, and public sector entities
• Plan and execute market outreach, events, and educational programs to promote capital market development
• Deliver market intelligence and strategic insights to regional and global leadership
• Collaborate with the SVP, Head of Strategy and Business Management on strategic opportunities
• Contribute to EMEA Regional Management objectives and cross-functional initiatives
• Represent affiliate investments as board member or governance oversight when opportunities arise

Key requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Moody’s Ratings business model and the credit rating agency landscape
• Strong understanding of financial sector development, capital markets, and regulatory trends in EMEA, with emphasis on the Middle East
• Knowledge of Islamic finance, Shariah-compliant funding structures, fixed income markets, and financial institutions
• Excellent communication and relationship management with senior stakeholders across diverse cultures
• Ability to translate complex market developments into strategic business insights
• Willingness and ability to travel periodically within the Middle East
• Experience with innovative problem-solving and independent, high-quality output
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are highly desirable
• Demonstrated proficiency in AI concepts and hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enable AI-powered solutions
