Staff Product Designer – Receive

Overview

As Staff Designer in Wises Receive squad, you lead end-to-end design for a global payments experience. You’ll own the toughest problems across multiple currencies and methods, aligning design strategy with measurable outcomes. You shape a coherent, scalable experience that works across personal, business, and platform customers. You’ll work to grow incoming payments volume while raising the bar on craft, systems thinking, and collaboration, enabling Wise to move money faster and more cheaply for everyone.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design problems in Receive, setting craft standards for the squad
• Develop deep, hands-on understanding of global pay flows and where experiences fail
• Shape the design strategy for the Receive experience, including now, next, and future state
• Apply systems thinking to integrate multiple currencies and payment methods into one coherent experience
• Build evidence-based direction to inform the Receive roadmap
• Elevate design quality through feedback, critiques, and knowledge sharing
• Incorporate AI thoughtfully into daily practice and demonstrate its value to the team

Key requirements

• Experience as the most senior designer on a complex product area with end-to-end ownership
• Ability to design across multiple markets, formats, and edge cases without fragmentation
• Proven track record of owning strategy with metrics-driven impact
• Strong prototyping skills and clear articulation of trade-offs for senior stakeholders
• High craft and visual skills, with experience working with design systems
• Mentorship and ability to raise the design bar for peers
• Experience using AI tools in practice and a view on where they help
