Residential Childcare Support Worker Company: Bayview Childcare Location: Bolton-le-Sands, Carnforth Contract: Part-time, permanent Specific hours: 20 hours per week, worked on a shift pattern Salary: Up to £16,661.60 pro rata, inclusive of sleep-in shifts (£26,603.20 FTE) We're looking for warm, motivated Residential Childcare Support Workers to join our welcoming team at Bayview.

You'll work in one of our family-style homes in Bolton-le-Sands, near Carnforth, supporting up to four young people.
n
You'll help children aged 8-18 with social, emotional and behavioural needs to build confidence, develop life skills and achieve positive outcomes.
n
A big part of your role will be creating a safe, nurturing and homely environment where every young person can thrive.
n
All our homes are rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted, and we're looking for people who can help maintain these high standards.

If you don't already hold a relevant qualification, you'll complete either the Level 3 Diploma or Level 4 Practitioner Apprenticeship within two years.

A full UK driving licence is essential.

Build trusting, positive relationships with young people, their families and external professionals.

Contribute to individual care plans and support routines that develop confidence, life skills and positive outcomes.

Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming home environment, helping with daily tasks such as cooking and shopping.
n
Support children through daily activities, supervising closely and responding appropriately to worries, behaviours or conflict.
n
Record progress, behaviour, incidents and feedback accurately, ensuring clear communication with management.
n
Complete and follow risk assessments for all activities and uphold all policies, procedures and childcare regulations.
n
Act as a positive role model, encouraging belonging, inclusion and a culture of trust and teamwork across the home.
