The role involves managing a high-volume caseload of Employers’ Liability and Public Liability (EL/PL) Portal and non-Portal claims from inception through to resolution in a pro-active and supportive litigation environment.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with active litigation rights.
- Experience Level: Minimum of 3 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) handling personal injury litigation.
- Domain Expertise: In-depth working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), Pre-Action Protocol for Personal Injury Claims, Personal Injury Protocol for Low Value EL/PL Claims, and relevant statutory case law.
- Technical & Personal Skills: Strong commercial awareness, IT proficiency (case management systems), excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proven file-management capability.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Handle EL/PL claims from start to finish with minimal supervision, including litigated fast-track and select multi-track cases.
- Generate legal correspondence, pleadings, and procedural documents independently.
- Utilize firm case management systems to maintain file accuracy and time recording targets.
- Provide clear legal advice and strategic solutions directly to clients.
- Meet key financial KPIs, fee-earning goals, and maintain client/referrer relations.
