Our client, a national building services consultancy, is looking for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join their growing team. The Role
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and technical directors on a varied project portfolio, gaining exposure to different building types and design challenges rather than being pigeonholed into one sector. You’ll be supported by a structured development plan, mentoring from senior engineers, and funded progression towards Chartership.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing electrical building services designs from concept through to detailed design and construction stages
- Carrying out electrical calculations, load assessments, and cable sizing
- Producing and reviewing specifications, schematics, and technical drawings (with support from Revit technicians)
- Liaising with clients, architects, and other members of the design team
- Supporting site inspections and monitoring where required
- Working towards Chartered status with the ICE/CIBSE, supported by the business
About You
- Degree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
- Around 3-6 years’ experience in a building services consultancy environment
- Working knowledge of Amtech, Revit, and/or relevant design software
- Working towards Chartership (or keen to start the process)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a design team
- Clear, fast-tracked progression route with regular reviews
- Structured training and development programme, including funded Chartership
- Exposure to a wide and varied project portfolio across multiple sectors
