We're looking for anOperational Trainer to join our team and play a key role indeveloping the skills, knowledge and competence of our colleaguesacross operational activities.
Reporting into the Site HR Lead,you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality trainingprogrammes focused on Material Handling Equipment (MHE),operational processes and safe ways of working. You'll ensurecolleagues have the knowledge, confidence and authorisation tocarry out their roles safely and effectively, while supportingcompliance with business standards and legislativerequirements.
Working closely with operationalleaders, Health & Safety and the Education & Training(E&T) Pillar, you'll help drive a culture of safety, capabilityand continuous improvement. From delivering forklift training andconducting competence assessments to developing Job OperatingProcedures (JOPs) and supporting colleague development, you'll havea direct impact on operational performance and colleaguegrowth.

Deliveringoperational and MHE training
Providingaccredited and internal training for Material Handling Equipmentincluding Counterbalance, Reach Truck, Powered Pallet Truck, VNAand other authorised equipment, while delivering both practical andclassroom-basedlearningAssessingcompetence and developingcolleagues
Conducting operator assessments,refresher training, re-certification programmes and coachingcolleagues to ensure they operate safely, confidently andeffectivelyMaintainingcompliance and training standards
Managingtraining records, competence matrices and operator authorisations,while creating and updating training documentation including JOPs,One Point Lessons (OPLs) and jobaidsSupportingsafety and operational excellence
Promotingsafe working practices, supporting battery charging and maintenanceactivities, working at height training, racking inspections andinvestigating MHE-related incidents and nearmissesDrivingcontinuous improvement and capabilitybuilding
Partnering with operationalleaders, HR and the E&T Pillar to identify skills gaps, deliverdevelopment plans and continuously improve training materials,standards andprocesses
MHEtraining experience and qualifications
Anaccredited Material Handling Equipment (MHE) or Forklift Instructorqualification, along with experience delivering training within amanufacturing, logistics or warehousingenvironmentHealth& Safety knowledge and a safety-firstmindset
A good understanding of Health& Safety requirements relating to MHE operations, with acommitment to promoting safe working practices and complianceacross thesiteStrongcoaching and communicationskills
Experience delivering training,carrying out competence assessments and coaching colleagues tobuild confidence, capability and safe workingpracticesOrganisationand attention to detail
The ability tomaintain accurate training records, competence matrices andtraining documentation while managing multiple prioritieseffectivelyApassion for developing people
A genuineinterest in helping colleagues learn new skills, improveperformance and reach their full potential in a fast-pacedoperationalenvironmentAproactive and professional approach
Strongproblem-solving skills, confidence using Microsoft Office andtraining management systems, and the ability to work independentlywhile maintaining high standards of quality, safety andcompliance
