Contract: QA Automation Engineer (Embedded Firmware & Wi‑Fi)
I am partnering with a major UK technology brand to find a Senior QA Automation Engineer for a 12-month contract.
Location: Ipswich, UK (Hybrid)
In this role, you will be testing the embedded firmware inside next‑generation home connectivity devices, ensuring the latest Broadband Smart Hubs and Wi‑Fi routers perform flawlessly for millions of customers.
What you need to bring to the table:
- Hardware Testing: Proven experience testing embedded firmware, IoT devices, or Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL).
- Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of Wi‑Fi and Router/CPE testing (Broadband, FTTP, 4G/5G, IPv4/IPv6).
- Automation: Strong hands‑on coding experience using Robot Framework and Python.
- Infrastructure: Comfortable working with Linux, Docker, VMs, and GitLab in an Agile environment.
