Project Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead projects and programmes within Sheffield’s Building Safety service to safeguard residents and ensure regulatory compliance. You’ll work cross-functionally with housing, asset management, compliance and repairs teams to deliver safety-focused improvements and assurance activities. You’ll manage scope, timelines, budgets and governance for complex, regulated initiatives. This is an opportunity to shape building safety delivery across a large housing stock in a collaborative, outcomes-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, delivery and monitoring of projects and programmes
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies and governance
• Coordinate with technical specialists, suppliers and contractors to deliver solutions
• Control project budgets and support value-for-money delivery
• Produce governance-ready reports, business cases and updates
• Build relationships with stakeholders to support successful delivery
• Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements

Key requirements

• Proven track record delivering projects in complex environments
• Experience or knowledge in building safety, compliance, construction, asset management or related disciplines (advantageous)
• Ability to work with technical information and regulatory requirements
• Experience leading projects to meet time, cost and quality constraints
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• Experience managing project risks, issues and dependencies
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
