Senior Software Engineer – Python

Overview

In this role you will help design, build and maintain a SaaS platform used by ML engineers and data scientists to create scalable medical AI products. You will collaborate with data, platform and stakeholder teams to deliver production-grade software in a fast-paced environment. You work on edge-enabled, cloud-based data and annotations management within Medtronic’s Surgical AI ecosystem, contributing to global improvements in surgical care. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the SaaS tool (Python codebase) for project, data, and annotations management used by internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with data and platform engineers to streamline data access and processing for growing data volumes
• Work with internal stakeholders to define software requirements and validate features in an iterative, quality-driven environment

Key requirements

• BSc or MSc in relevant field and 2-3 years professional experience
• Production-quality code delivery experience
• Strong Python skills and best practices for high-quality code
• Experience using Git for production codebases
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker; cloud familiarity (AWS, GCP)
• Willingness to commute to London 2 days/week
• Experience with Kanban/Scrum environments; SaaS features development; exposure to LLM agents preferred
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform) a plus
